Open call for UK-Iceland Explorer applications

15.1.2024

The UK-Iceland Explorer Scholarship Fund aims to strengthen the links between the UK and Iceland in education, research, innovation, and space science. The deadline for applicants is on the 5th of April at 15:00.

The specific objective of the fund is to give Icelandic students the opportunity to study in the UK. Individuals aiming for a full degree at a university in the UK in the academic year 2024-2025 can apply for the grant through Rannís, which administers the fund in collaboration with the British Space Agency and the British Embassy in Reykjavík. Each scholarship recipient will receive a grant of up to £10,000.

Priority is given to space-related subjects although students in all fields are eligible. Additionally, students can apply for a two month paid internship through the SPIN-programme organised by the UK Space Agency.
