  • to promote and support good governance in sport and dual careers of athletes;
  • to promote voluntary activities in sport, together with social inclusion, equal opportunities and awareness of the importance of health-enhancing physical activity, through increased participation in, and equal access to sport for all.

A Collaborative Partnership is transnational and involves at least five organisations from five different Programme Countries. The duration can last from 12-36 months.  The Partnership should involve an appropriate and diverse range of partners in order to benefit  from different experiences, profiles and expertise and produce relevant and high quality project results. The maximum amount that a project can apply for is 500 thousand euros.

A not-for-profit European sport events is an action that must have  participants from at least 12 different Programme countries.  Projects can last up to 12 months. The maximum amount that individual projects can apply for are 2 million euros.

The sports grants are all allocated centrally from Brussels so the Erasmus + office in Iceland is only in an advisory role in this action.
