The purpose of COST actions is to build up a thematic international research and innovation networks. Participants in COST actions can exchange research results through meetings and conferences, attend training and go on short term scientific missions.
COST funds all travel, but does not fund the actual research. COST can be very beneficial for building your international research network and potentially can lead to future research collaboration within the EU framework programme for R&I.
Iceland appoints 2 management committee members for each action and can nominate up to 4 substitutes (this is defined by institution affiliation, not nationality). Participation is open for all stages of the academic career (PhD students to experienced researchers), within or outside academia. If you are interested in participating, please contact Rannís for further information.
