Defend Iceland, in collaboration with the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH-IS), The Icelandic Centre for Research - RANNÍS and Reykjavík University, will host a lunchmeeting, on April 11 in Fenjamýri in Gróska ar 11:45, with a focus on the imperative of proactive security measures in the face of cyber threats. 

The Infoday will be held online on April 23 from 11:00 to 13:30 Icelandic time (13:00-15:30 CEST).

The Nordic countries have teamed up with Canada and the USA to launch a NordForsk call on the sustainable development of the Arctic. The call is two-stage, and the deadline for pre-proposals is 4 June 2024.

The info day is online and will take place on March 27 2024. 

Transforming Health and Care Systems has launched its second Joint Transnational Call (JTC) for proposals aiming to support the implementation of innovative person-centred health and care models addressing prevention strategies, with the key help of existing IT and digital technologies and services. 

The workshop will take place online on Tuesday 12 March at 14:00-16:30 CET and will focus on calls with deadline in April 2024.

The new Ambassador of Germany in Iceland visited Rannís on 8 February with guests, with the aim to discuss cooperation in the field of education.

The Icelandic Research Fund calls for nominations to the Motivation Award for young researchers. 
Deadline to send in nominations is February 26, 2024. 

The UK-Iceland Explorer Scholarship Fund aims to strengthen the links between the UK and Iceland in education, research, innovation, and space science. The deadline for applicants is on the 5th of April at 15:00.

The Board of The Icelandic Research Fund has completed the allocation of grants for new research projects for 2024. A total of 353 valid applications were received by the Research Fund, 67 of which were funded, or 19%.
