2.12.2021 : Education Research Fund‘s allocation for 2021

The minister of education, science and culture has allocated grants for 2021 from the Education Research Fund. A total of 23 valid applications were received by the Fund, four of which were funded for a total of ISK 72.547.500.

13.4.2021 : Launch of next generation EU programmes 2021-2027

Next generation of four EU programmes managed by Rannis will be launched on 15 April 2021 at 14:00-16:00. The opening event will be streamed directly from the Reykjavik Municipal Theatre. Due to Covid-19 restrictions no audience is allowed, but anyone interested can watch the event on the Rannis website, as Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps and Creative Europe will be officially launched in Iceland.

15.1.2021 : Allocation from the Icelandic Research Fund for the financial year 2021

The Board of The Icelandic Research Fund has completed the allocation of grants for new research projects for 2021, the largest in the fund's history. A total of 402 valid applications were received by the Research Fund, 82 of which were funded, or about 20%.
