The project must be developed within a European University Alliance in collaboration with at least two SMEs and research centers. Each project will be supported by 10 million euros, with duration up to four years. The application deadline is January 24, 2023.
The primary objective of this call is to support the design and delivery of new study programs at higher education (such as bachelor‘s and master‘s) in the field of advanced digital skills. Projects should focus on development of interdisciplinary programmes that enhance students' ability to deploy and use technologies in an empowered way in their work. The programme(s) can e.g., be within the field of agriculture, social sciences, humanities, educational sciences, health sciences, engineering, and natural sciences.
The programme(s) can be within a wide range of technological development and can include the development and applications of artificial intelligence, cyber security, data, virtual reality, microelectronics, photonics, quantum, and robotics.
Applicants must choose at least one of the following focus areas:
Building digital competence: Design and deployment of new education programme(s) that reflect technological developments that have taken place within the academic field and provide students with theoretical and practical skills and knowledge to use and deal with digital technology.
Teacher training and expertise: Financial support to train staff and / or attract new staff, e.g. from the private sector. Actions to support the exchange of teachers between the universities / institutions that are part of the university network.
Upgrading digital solutions: Purchase, lease and / or implementation of equipment and other digital technology infrastructure with a special focus on the cross-border IT systems between partners.
Student support: Financial support to students (up to 20% of the total cost of the project).
