30 years of Erasmus+

6.1.2017

In 2017 the Erasmus+ Programme is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The Erasmus Programme has helped millions of young people and education professionals to travel abroad, study, and gain experience and skills.

Throughout 2017 the anniversary will be marked with various events organised across Europe. These will include conferences, forums, dialogues, celebrations, debates and exhibitions.

The European Commission has designed a dedicated page for the anniversary where people can find out how they can help promote the anniversary and subscribe to the Erasmus+ newsletter.

Newsletter subscribers will receive regular updates about:

  • calls, news & events
  • tips and tricks for Erasmus+
  • other Erasmus+ life experiences
  • the impact of Erasmus+

The Erasmus+ 30 years toolkit contains a set of free promotional images, banners and leaflets that individuals and organisations can use to spread the word about the campaign.

By 2020 Erasmus+ will support 2 million higher education students (including 450,000 traineeships), 650,000 vocational education and training students, 500,000 volunteers and young people in youth exchanges, and 800,000 lecturers, teachers, trainers, education staff and youth workers.
