IASC arctic project funding opportunities in 2023 and ICARP IV community-wide engagement 

Join us to learn more about IASC project funding opportunities for 2023 and to hear how you and/or your institution can take part in shaping Arctic research planning for the next decade through the ICARP IV process.

In this meeting, IASC Executive Secretary Gerlis Fugmann and Iceland IASC Council member/Rannís Senior Advisor Egill Þór Níelsson will discuss:

  • IASC 2023 funding opportunities for Arctic projects / How to apply / deadlines
  • Arctic Science Summit Week 2023
  • ICARP IV process: a community-wide undertaking that will engage Arctic researchers, policy makers, residents and stakeholders from around the world to collegially discuss the state of Arctic science, the place the Arctic occupies in global affairs and systems, to consider the most urgent knowledge gaps and Arctic research priorities and needs for the next decade, and explore avenues to address these research needs.
  • Arctic research in Iceland and international engagement

 

The meetings are two, in Akureyri and in Reykjavik
