The Science and Technology Policy Concil (STPC) has requested submissions from the science and technology community in Iceland on the formulation of a new research programm commencing January 2005.
The STPC issued guidelines for submission of proposals on a new research program. The guidelines stipulate that individuals, companies as well as institutions can submit proposals. A detailed discussion on the international aspects of the proposed program is to be included. The duration of the new program is proposed to be five years.
The new program will commence as an earlier program in the fields of information technology and environmental research will expire in 2004. That program had a total financial provision of ISK 580 millions.
Submission deadline is 1st of September 2004.
