A two-day workshop will be held from 25-26 August 2022 in Nuuk to explore possibilities for strengthened cooperation between the Greenland and Iceland research communities.
The workshop is a pre-event of the Arctic Circle Greenland Forum and co-organized by the Greenland Research Council, Rannís – The Icelandic Centre for Research, Icelandic Arctic Cooperation Network, Arctic Hub and the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources.
With this workshop, we hope to foster exchange of expertise, networking, and future collaboration opportunities between the scientific communities of Greenland and Iceland. The workshop will be an exploratory platform that presents research priorities in Greenland and Iceland with a discussion on the possibilities for synergies and collaboration and will explore opportunities for joint funding.
The workshop will be focused around three thematic sessions:
1) Climate change and sustainable development, 2) Fisheries and the blue economy, 3) Geopolitics and security policy studies, and facilitate a dialogue on institutional cooperation.
We invite you to submit a proposal for a presentation!
