The role of the Icelandic Research Fund is to strengthen scientific research and research-based postgraduate studies in Iceland. To this end, the Fund awards grants for defined research projects conducted by individuals, research groups, universities, research institutes and/or companies.
Applicants are asked to familiarize themselves with the rules of the Icelandic Research Fund for the grant year 2019 before starting work on the application.
Applications must be submitted electronically through the Rannísapplication system . Applications and associated documentation must be in English.
