Expert panel and evaluation

  • Applications are reviewed by the Icelandic Student Innovation Fund's six specialist councils. They present their evaluations to the fund's board which decides on the provision of grants. The aim is to have allocated grants just over a month after the deadline for applications.
  • Applications are evaluated on the following basis: Will the project will lead to innovation (in knowledge and/or technology); might the project be of practical use; will it lead to the cooperation of universities, institutions and/or companies; methodology; project schedule; and whether the project allows for an independent contribution by the student.
  • Allocations are announced on the Rannís home page after they are decided. Supervisors and students also get an email where the results are announced.
